It's not often I get to go out with my husband, you know, by ourselves, without screaming attachments (eg, offspring) and it is even more exciting tonight that I get to do it with two of my best friends and their lovely partners.  I am thinking much drinking, eating and laughing shall ensue and I am lucky enough to have a quiet house in which to ponder outfits.  Important issues this Easter Saturday I tell you!

I think I have an obsession with Converse.  My Dad is off to Hong Kong next month and when he asked me if I wanted anything, I couldn't think of a thing I could need having only visited last November.  Then I remembered.  Sneaker Street.  Mongkok.  All authentic Converse around $28AUD.  !!!!!  Dad!  I am a size 7 and I am thinking sparkles...

Speaking of the joy that is the Sunday Camberwell Market, I spotted this shirt on Sunday and immediately trotted over to secure it as I thought it would look great on the husband.  Only to realise it was probably a ladies shirt, or a shirt for a very slim short man.  Not to be deterred, I purchased it for myself for some gold change.  Voila!  Tartan/boot/white leg combo!

Considering the title of this post, I should have a close up of these for you but I don't.  I do have a link to where you can buy them online though!  I have been searching for the perfect answer to some new winter boots for months now, after lusting after a copy of the Acne pistol boot that everyone has been loving so much.  But after being set on something black with a wooden heel for a little less severity, these Valeria Grossi lovelies caught my eye and at that price, I was smitten!  They are super comfy and I had to give them a little test drive the other day. Now, please Melbourne, just be cold enough for me to give them a proper run!!

Old Leather..

I have been searching for the perfect little leather jacket for winter after being extremely inspired by this and this, but unfortunately, without any budget with which to acquire one. So, en route to buy some bulk grains the other day at my lovely Organic Wholefoods, I let myself be led (it was a Saturday, I was on my own!  Why not?) into the amazing treasure trove that is Lost and Found.  Oh. My.  Let me just say I felt guilty for spending $40 on this very well worn in vintage piece of leather but also completely justified in that it was the ONLY thing I bought.  Let's just say it could definitely have ended up a lot worse!  There's always next time!

I love this hot pink shirt.  It's a crepe like polyester I think but I just love how it falls.  Discovered with glee on the $1 rack at Paynesville Op Shop, Vic.  I am counting down the days til I can visit there again.  I get such a high when I come across a new little country op shop gem.  

This post documents some indecisiveness for a much needed night out with my lovely girlfriends - I ended up going with the second outfit as I just wasn't in the mood to have so much leg on show.  You know some nights are just like that?  We started off with lovely cocktails at New Gold Mountain, finishing off with more drinks after dinner at the wonderful Siglo.  Lovely girls night.

I think the title of this post just shows I have been watching too much Grease lately, after I rediscovered it's all round fun-ness after a hiatus.  I am going to be posting some pics from a while ago leading up to this one, sorry they are so terrible in quality, just an experiment.  Also, a lot of these outfits aren't finished with accessories as these pics were helping me mid decision!

I was totally inspired by the lovely Nicole of garypeppervintage the other day and chased down this skirt from Supre of all places that she has featured quite a lot lately. Needless to say it looks a little different on me but at least it gave my wadrobe the pop of colour it so desperately needs! Dipping my toe into colour blocking you might say. Other than the skirt, everything else is thrifted from various op shops. Cheers to that.
